i say stuff

why are you on [insert politically charged platform here]?

i, of course, am not politically aligned with some of the platforms i am on. i do, however, think being on those platforms opens me up to understanding (or at the very least, observing) what is going through their head. some people really don't like me on other platforms... but that won't stop me from trying to be friendly with them, as i would hope they would do to me. i also hope that it helps what i do - music, coding, political activism, etc. - reach a wider target audience than it otherwise would: i'm sure there are many people who are only allowed to be on a few platforms, and wouldn't know about me or what i do otherwise. also see this TEDx talk (associated paper for further reading).
